Indigeniality Today: Further Training in Wilderness Education for Everyday Life
About this Class
Many people have experienced the tremendous power that wilderness education unleashes in seminars. As we sit around a campfire with like-minded people, we feel alive, connected, peaceful, and creative. Yet when we return to our everyday lives, we are often left with the feeling that we are living in two separate worlds. It can be challenging to bring the power of wilderness education’s core elements into our present-day lives, which follow different rules. This very process of transferring them is at the heart of our innovative year-long course.
When we bring wilderness education into our everyday lives, we experience not only personal joy, resilience, and direction. Wearing the Coyote’s cloak, we also become inspiring role models for others. As we put the core elements of wilderness education into practice in our own lives and develop them further with the people around us to meet today’s needs, we become pioneers of a future Earth culture that sustains life.
The training comprises five consecutive modules, with a total of 20 in-person seminar days, transfer exercises in between, and supplementary videos.
Training topics
1. Friendship with nature
2. Gift exchange
3. Sharing resources
4. Circle culture
5. Life purpose
6. Rites of passage
7. Earth spirituality
8. Gratitude
Training objectives
- Transferring wilderness education into everyday life in order to develop a way of life in which everything is interconnected
- Skillfully donning the Coyote’s cloak in order to inspire those around us while giving them freedom
- Further developing Indigenous cultural tools in order to prepare for a new, sustainable Earth culture
When this course was offered for the first time, the training modules were delivered through a mix of online sessions and outdoor activities near participants’ homes. As part of this, the well-known author Andreas Weber gave an online talk on “Indigeniality,” which was published on the Naturschule Wildniswandern YouTube channel.

Reviews
WildNet.Earth Review Policy
Each rating result ranges from 1 to 10. The overall rating for a class is calculated by adding up all the ratings submitted and dividing them by the number of ratings. We use a weighted system: more recent ratings have a greater influence on the overall result.
Participants can also submit sub-ratings for important class areas – such as organizer communication, class management, content & learning progress, procedure & implementation, venue, catering, and accommodation. Sub-ratings and overall ratings are assigned independently of each other and are not necessarily directly related.
Participants can submit a review if they have taken part in a class via WildNet.Earth – even if they have not completed the class in full. In addition, participants can verify themselves and also write reviews even if they have not booked via WildNet.Earth. Changes to reviews that have already been submitted can only be made via WildNet customer service.
To prevent bias, WildNet.Earth uses processes that identify fake or unreliable reviews. Such content will be deleted and measures may be taken against those responsible. Suspicious posts can be reported to customer service by anyone at any time.
We publish both positive and negative reviews, unless they contain or refer to:
- Politically sensitive content
- Advertising
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive data (e.g., phone numbers, email addresses)
- Insults, obscene language, sexualized content, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or violence
- Spam or obviously fake content
- Identity theft
- Any violation of our rating guidelines
Guidelines and standards for reviews
These guidelines ensure that reviews on WildNet.Earth remain relevant, fair, and respectful—without restricting freedom of expression.
Contributions should have a clear connection to the class or experience and help other participants make an informed decision. Personal attacks, religious or political statements, advertising, or support requests (to the organizer or WildNet.Earth) do not belong in reviews and will be removed.
Posts must be suitable for a global audience. Obscenities (even in creative writing) and content that contains hate, discrimination, violence, sexual depictions, or illegal activities are not permitted.
All content must be authentic, independent, and unbiased. Organizers and their partners may not create reviews on behalf of their participants or offer incentives for reviews. Attempts at manipulation (e.g., negative reviews against other organizers) will not be tolerated.
Personal data of third parties may not be published. Copyrights must be observed—published content, especially images, may only be used if the corresponding rights have been obtained.
The opinions expressed are solely those of participants and class providers. WildNet.Earth accepts no liability for reviews or responses. WildNet.Earth acts as a distributor, not as a publisher of content.

About the Organizer
Naturschule Wildniswandern
WILDNISWANDERN is a provider of tours, seminars, and training courses in the natural world.
Our wilderness school was founded in 2000 and aims to foster people’s connection with all living things. To this end, we explore the wealth of experience of Indigenous peoples. We ask ourselves: how can we live in harmony with nature and with ourselves? We find answers as we build shelters, gather edible wild plants, listen to the birds, move silently through the forest, or share stories around the campfire. Where do these answers come from? As soon as we immerse ourselves in nature, it permeates us too. With body and soul, we experience how we ourselves are nature and are intertwined with it. This connection is at the heart of our wilderness courses, hiking tours, youth and family camps, school trips, and corporate training programs. The goal is not survival through gritted teeth, but friendship with nature. Many activities take place in Germany, while others are held in wilderness areas across Europe or around the world.
Discover the wilderness with us!
