Wilderness Education Training 1

In the one-year Outdoor & Trekking Guide Training, participants learn to lead trekking and hiking tours through a wide range of landscapes. Drawing on the concepts of ultralight trekking and wilderness education, we travel through forests, fjell, rivers, low mountain ranges, and snowy landscapes. On foot, by packraft, and with minimal luggage. The training is an outdoor adventure in itself, but it is not about “higher, faster, farther”; it is about trekking with respect for and connection to nature. Structure of the Outdoor & Trekking Guide Training The Outdoor Guide Training consists of 5 progressive modules, each of which teaches and develops the skills needed for trekking tours in a particular landscape. Naturally, all seminars take place outdoors. We go on tours in different areas of Germany and Europe. Different landscapes evoke different archetypes, touch different emotions, and present us with particular challenges and tasks that we encounter not only in the outer natural world, but also in our inner nature. In this training, we walk through “nature as a mirror” and learn which of our own boundaries, transition zones, layers of vegetation, and inner landscapes are reflect

Wilderness Education Training 2 Your place in the wheel — including a course week preparing for a 24-hour transition ritual, held by the community in the mirror of nature.Just like our Wilderness Education Training I, Wilderness Education Training II is based on the Indigenous perspective that we can only truly “learn” something when we experience it with our body, feelings, mind, and spirit. Accordingly, the training consists of a mix of learning skills, nature crafts, natural process facilitation, experiencing knowledge, and spending lots of time in nature. If we want to support people as mentors in strengthening their connection to themselves, other living beings, and nature, it is important for us to strengthen these connections within ourselves as well. As mentors, too, nature is our greatest role model and teacher. Wilderness Education Training II spans 12 months and is divided into 5 consecutive, progressively structured seminar weekends/weeks (20 course days in total). There is a period of self-study between seminars.

Outdoor Trainer – Experiential Therapy Training The Outdoor Trainer/Experiential Therapy Training* includes 7 training courses offered by Outside e.V. and lasts two years. This combination provides comprehensive qualifications for working in the outdoors. On the one hand, as an outdoor trainer/experiential therapist, you will master the skills of an outdoor guide. For example, you can work as a wilderness tour guide or lead activities in youth work. On the other hand, you will also be trained in team training and wilderness education. The training also includes wilderness therapy training. This helps you get to know yourself well, including your strengths and weaknesses. You can also help a wide range of teams in schools and businesses grow closer together. Trekking guide and bushcraft guide instructor training are also part of the program. This training is therefore a combination of all our entry-level training courses, including the outdoor guide training and the experiential education training.

Many people have experienced the tremendous power that wilderness education unleashes in seminars. As we sit around a campfire with like-minded people, we feel alive, connected, peaceful, and creative. Yet when we return to our everyday lives, we are often left with the feeling that we are living in two separate worlds. It can be challenging to bring the power of wilderness education’s core elements into our present-day lives, which follow different rules. This very process of transferring them is at the heart of our innovative year-long course. When we bring wilderness education into our everyday lives, we experience not only personal joy, resilience, and direction. Wearing the Coyote’s cloak, we also become inspiring role models for others. As we put the core elements of wilderness education into practice in our own lives and develop them further with the people around us to meet today’s needs, we become pioneers of a future Earth culture that sustains life. The training comprises five consecutive modules, with a total of 20 in-person seminar days, transfer exercises in between, and supplementary videos. Training topics 1. Friendship with nature2. Gift exchange3. Sharing reso

This house of life is immeasurably vast and contains all the great and small wonders. To enter is to come home. It means learning the skills and abilities needed to feel at home in what we call nature. You can find all the information about the training under - Register now See you soon!
