Wilderness Education Training 1 Welcome to our camp in the Taunus region of Hesse. Learn from an experienced team of social educators passionate about wilderness. We combine wilderness education with natural process facilitation.All seminars, including those in winter, take place outdoors at the wilderness camp in the Taunus. Being in contact with nature, with wind and weather, warmth and cold, and with the birds and animals that visit us, is absolutely essential to us. Nature is not a nuisance or a distraction for us. It is exactly what we need! Wilderness Education Training I is led by a mixed-gender team. It is important to us to make room for both the male and female “perspectives on things,” and we welcome every other perspective as well. Wilderness Education Training I spans approximately 12 months and is divided into 7 consecutive seminar weekends. Self-study takes place between the seminars.

Wilderness Education Training 2 Your place in the wheel — including a course week preparing for a 24-hour transition ritual, held by the community in the mirror of nature.Just like our Wilderness Education Training I, Wilderness Education Training II is based on the Indigenous perspective that we can only truly “learn” something when we experience it with our body, feelings, mind, and spirit. Accordingly, the training consists of a mix of learning skills, nature crafts, natural process facilitation, experiencing knowledge, and spending lots of time in nature. If we want to support people as mentors in strengthening their connection to themselves, other living beings, and nature, it is important for us to strengthen these connections within ourselves as well. As mentors, too, nature is our greatest role model and teacher. Wilderness Education Training II spans 12 months and is divided into 5 consecutive, progressively structured seminar weekends/weeks (20 course days in total). There is a period of self-study between seminars.

More and more people are spending time outdoors in nature. They seek relaxation, exercise, and a connection with nature out there. This one-year training program provides the practical skills needed to expertly accompany people like these on tours or other outdoor activities. Our wilderness school was founded in 2000 and aims to foster people’s connection with all living things.

This course takes place upon request. The costs stated here are a rough estimate and are calculated depending on the duration, number of participants, and program. Nature teaches us harmony, solidarity, and vitality—values that are also essential in a strong team. Our outdoor team event gives companies and teams from all industries the opportunity to grow together and develop in new ways. As in a functioning ecosystem, every member of a team also has an important role. For all the elements to work together smoothly, trust, clarity, and good communication are needed. Training to become a Trekking Guide & Wilderness Hiking Guide - Experience nature, accompany people, understand the wilderness  This training is for everyone who would like to share their passion for nature, movement, and the simple life outdoors with others. As a Trekking Guide, you will be equipped to lead groups safely, responsibly, and mindfully through nature, whether on multi-day tours, day hikes, or individual experiences in forests and mountains.  The focus is on the connection between a love of nature and a passion for hiking: You will learn how to accompany people on their journeys, not only geographically, but emotionally as well.  What you will gain  After completing the training, you will be able to plan and lead trekking tours independently, competently, with care for nature, and with an understanding of people. You will do more than show people the way: you will create spaces for stillness, community, adventure, and a genuine connection with nature. Upon completing all 5 modules, you will receive a certificate of completion.
