Making a Bach flower blend

In this course, I would like to make the flower essences that Edward Bach compiled together with you, and discover their ingredients where they naturally grow during a plant and herb walk. You will see how easy and joyful it is to make a healing Bach flower blend for yourself and your family. In addition to learning about the Bach flowers and how they are used for us humans, this requires a little practical know-how and a particular inner attitude, grounded in respect, childlike curiosity, and plenty of joy. The practicing physician Edward Bach, who lived in the early 20th century, set out at that time to search for very particular plant personalities. He found 37 plants and “Rock Water,” which we know today as “Bach flowers.”

Bach flower essences and their contribution to charity

While working with sick people, Edward Bach noticed that there are certain personality types or states of personality associated with particular illnesses. To bring a personality that had fallen out of “flowing equilibrium” back into a healing balance, Bach looked for someone in the plant world. This plant should be able to help that particular state of personality return to balance and heal. He succeeded and found them. Bach sought to make the preparation of his Bach flower essences as simple and inexpensive as possible, so that everyone could have access to them. His contemporaries strongly criticized him for this.

Knowledge of plants and herbs is for everyone.

That is exactly what appealed to me when we touched on Bach flowers during my training: Edward Bach’s efforts to make healing accessible to everyone. I would like to take up this founding idea again and, together with you, get to know each of the Bach flower plants better, understand its soul, and follow Bach’s insights into its balancing effect on our soul by expanding our knowledge of plants and herbs. Specifically, this means that we will ground ourselves within, then approach a selected plant and observe it in its habitat, sense what happens within us when we are near it, and, as far as possible, gather the flowers to make a Bach flower essence. I look forward to our shared journey of discovery!
