This 4-day ocean-based camp invites youth to learn from the wisdom of indigenous women from the Urak Lawoy community, exploring their deep relationship with the sea and nature. Through community engagement, hands-on experiences, and guided reflection, participants will gain insight into traditional ways of living, ocean conservation, and the impacts of climate change on coastal communities. The program creates a space for learning, connection, and reflection on how we can live more sustainably in the modern world.

  • Learn from Indigenous Wisdom: Engage with women from the sea community and learn how their knowledge and way of life are connected to the ocean.

  • Explore Ocean & Community Conservation: Understand how the community cares for and protects marine ecosystems through local practices and daily life.

  • Understand Climate Impacts: Explore how climate change and modern lifestyles affect the ocean and coastal livelihoods.

Foster Reflection & Awareness: Create space for participants to reflect on their relationship with nature and their role in sustainability.

  • Build Connection with Nature: Develop a deeper emotional and experiential connection with the sea and natural environment.

  • Encourage Responsible Living: Inspire participants to adopt more mindful and sustainable ways of living beyond the camp.
