In this wilderness pedagogy training, you will learn effective ways, principles, and methods for reconnecting with nature. Beyond the intellect, you will be able to have holistic experiences through your senses, feelings, and body, allowing you to reconnect with your deeply rooted familiarity with Creation. The profound knowledge of Indigenous peoples about simple life in the “wilderness” enables you, in an unimaginably multifaceted way, to reconnect with your own roots and with Creation. Closely attuned to the natural cycles, manifestations, and laws of the wilderness, the Indigenous peoples and cultures of this world felt themselves to be part of it. You will learn tools that help you accompany people as they make contact in and with nature, and powerfully support them in their individual relationship work with wilderness, both within and without.

With the foundational knowledge from Part I, the journey now continues, allowing you to deepen the experiences you have had and let them grow as part of you. In this advanced, year-long Wilderness Education II program, a wide range of new topics and experiences in the wilderness will help you immerse yourself in a deep understanding of the simple life in nature and the wilderness, and put down strong roots so you can bring your potential into the world.

The story of the Peacemaker’s journey dates back to more than 1,000 years ago. Since then, it has been preserved and passed down to the generations that followed: At that time, there were five warring tribes in North America, south of the Great Lakes. A terrible war raged between them, dragging on for a long time and bringing great suffering to the people. This is where the Peacemaker’s journey begins: he was a man with a vision of bringing peace to the five tribes and uniting them. How he realized this vision on his journey, with the help of others, is the subject of the story. Today, these tribes are known as the “Iroquois” or “Haudenosaunee,” and they continue to live together in peace. Although the story takes place in another time and a different cultural context, it is very inspiring to many people and is surely relevant to these turbulent times we find ourselves in. Rainer Besser of the Corvus Wilderness School on Lake Constance is traveling to join us in the Teutoburg Forest to tell the story of the Peacemaker, as has been done for many generations. It inspires us to bring reconciliation and forgiveness into our relationships.

The online program encourages and challenges your perception, and the 9 online meetings spread over a year are designed to help you record your observations in your own personal way and share them with the group. Through the stories shared by the group and ideas for your field studies, you’ll get inspiration to explore your own questions more and more deeply and find answers in inner stillness. You will learn more and more to recognize your truth, trust it, and develop a sense of what fulfills you and of the gift you would like to share with the world.

Wildlife is intended for people who want to spend an intense period living in the wilderness, far from modern technology and in a small community.<\/p> During this time in the wilderness, you will shed the layers of modern life and civilization in order to truly immerse yourself in the “feeling of being at home in the wilderness,” one of the greatest gifts of our time. You will be on the move here and live clan life in a primitive camp.<\/p> In the fascinating and varied forest and lake landscape of central Sweden, near Tresticklan National Park, you will repeatedly encounter familiar and unfamiliar (survival) topics and techniques.<\/p>

Step into your WildnisJahr and rewild yourself alongside us. The WildnisJahr is a wilderness mentoring program in which you receive learning prompts online. Author Richard Louv introduced the term Nature-Deficit-Disorder in connection with his book “Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder.” We can confirm this trend. In this series, we share our experiences of how we use nature as a healing space and mirror. We provide you with methods from wilderness education that you can start using right away. At the end of the session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
