Mentoring on the Path of Pipe Ceremonies
About this Class
You would like to contribute to the well-being of the Earth with the Native American pipe and feel called to take on your spiritual responsibility through pipe ceremonies. In this training, you will learn to conduct pipe ceremonies mindfully and in harmony with nature and all beings for various rites of passage, such as weddings, funerals, letting-go rituals, initiations of young people, and so on.
The Native American pipe is sacred to the Indigenous peoples of the Americas. It was given to them by the White Buffalo Calf Woman when they had lost contact with the Creator. Through the sacred pipe, the Indigenous peoples connected with their higher selves and with nature. They see themselves as co-creators with nature. Like Jesus in the biblical story, they were able to perform miracles with the help of the pipe. They did so with an awareness of a special responsibility that continues to this day: as pipe carriers, they safeguard something that is alive in a spiritual world. Like every family member, the sacred pipe also needs mindfulness, care, and a loving heart.
Each pipe has its own power: some affect the weather, some have a healing effect, and others bring the truth to light. Each pipe teaches the pipe keepers and fosters their inner growth.
If you are interested in this individually supported year-long training, you should bear in mind that you are entering into a connection with a living being. You are responsible for contributing to the well-being of all with the pipe and using it accordingly in ceremonies. In this case, “for the well-being of all” means that you are responsible for people, animals, plants, and the Earth. It serves the higher being. The sacred pipe is not a status symbol, but a life’s calling that requires humility and respect.
Anyone can follow this path—but you should be willing to serve the Earth and all life. Self-promotion brings neither fulfillment nor happiness to pipe keepers. After the graduation ceremony, you can conduct ceremonies as a pipe keeper for the benefit of your community.
In 2022, James Gilmore Tree gave me permission to pass on this knowledge for the benefit of Creation. Grateful and with my head bowed, I wish to serve all life on this Earth along this spiritual path.

Structure
At the first in-person meeting, you will learn what a ceremony means and how the sacred pipe came to the Indigenous peoples of North America. You will learn the mythology, the sequence of the pipe ceremony, how to use the smoke, and how to handle and care for the sacred pipe. You can bring a pipe you have purchased (I will give you contact details) or one you have made yourself to this meeting. At the end of the meeting, your pipe will be awakened, and you will gain a family member in the spiritual world.
Over the following 12 months, we will meet every other month for three hours. During these sessions, we will practise the pipe ceremony intensively, strengthen our connection to nature, explore our own divinity and our place in the divine web, and practise other ceremonies, for example for weddings, grief, and dying. You will learn to handle the sacred pipe confidently in the Pipekeepers tradition, learn a great deal about the culture and values of the Northern Indigenous peoples, and, after a year of training, be able to conduct pipe ceremonies for others. These 12 months are an intensive process of growing your spiritual power and your connection to “All That Lives.”
After 12 months, a “Graduation Ceremony” will take place, in which you will make a commitment to the spiritual world. After this intensive year of learning with the pipe, you will be able to offer ceremonies for your community—whether for healing, transitions, bringing the truth to light, or protecting people, animals, and the Earth.

Reviews
WildNet.Earth Review Policy
Each rating result ranges from 1 to 10. The overall rating for a class is calculated by adding up all the ratings submitted and dividing them by the number of ratings. We use a weighted system: more recent ratings have a greater influence on the overall result.
Participants can also submit sub-ratings for important class areas – such as organizer communication, class management, content & learning progress, procedure & implementation, venue, catering, and accommodation. Sub-ratings and overall ratings are assigned independently of each other and are not necessarily directly related.
Participants can submit a review if they have taken part in a class via WildNet.Earth – even if they have not completed the class in full. In addition, participants can verify themselves and also write reviews even if they have not booked via WildNet.Earth. About the Organizer
Wir - Kinder der Erde
The wilderness school "We - Children of the Earth" offers training in wilderness education, wilderness skills, nature education, ceremonies, and animal-assisted experiential education. At the same time, the wilderness mentors guide people through vision quests and life counseling toward a deep connection with nature and along their personal path of growth toward inner peace. Dr. Barbara Deubzer learned the Art of Mentoring, Story Telling, and a mindful approach to nature directly from Tom Brown Jr. and Jon Young. Tom Brown Jr. initiated Barbara into the path of the sacred Native American pipe in 2000, and other teachers on the spiritual path were Jim Medicine Tree, Gayle Crozmas, and Leihou Rayder from Hawaii. The wilderness school We-Children of the Earth aims to strengthen people's connection with nature in their hearts and develop self-awareness. For modern lifestyles have often caused people to lose touch with themselves and nature. We believe that everyone carries within themselves the knowledge needed to make life-supporting decisions, but that access to it is “blocked.” Alongside courses and children's camps, the school therefore offers training to become a wilderness educator and year-long guidance that includes a vision quest. Courses for young and old teach basic skills for living (and surviving) in harmony with nature, while developing awareness of one's surroundings, oneself, and the spiritual. A holistic approach is always at the heart of the training. Individuals, kindergartens, schools, multipliers, and companies are warmly welcome and will surely find a suitable course.
