About Us
ULU of Norway is a wilderness school in Vågå, Innlandet.
In the cultural landscape of Nordherad in Vågå, with a view to Jotunheimen, you will find ULU of Norway. Here you can experience primitive life outside, learn to tan leather or sew your own clothes. We design and reconstruct clothing and utility items using nature's own raw materials and thousand-year-old traditions. All our leather and leather products are eco-friendly and handmade, and either unique or produced in small series. We offer courses and crafts of the highest quality. Our skins come from Jotunheimen, and are tanned with local materials and respect for the animal.

Roni Öhman
Instructor
Roni grew up in the Finnish forest and have a strong passion for primitive living. For more than 15 years he has joined different wilderness-schools and projects to learn and practice skills that you need to live a life in nature. Roni has been a teacher in “Guardian-training”, “Naturliv-courses” and “Primitive tanning”. Roni is a positive man with thousands of visions and tons of love. He has a great impact on youth and children and enjoy playing and challenge them. With his calmness and self-confidence, he goes for the responsibility and master the father-ship of 5 children. His strongest passion is to run a primitive school for children and youth where they can play free and learn from nature. Roni is a skilled tanner and craftsman, and together with Sofie he run the company “ULU of Norway». His dream is to live a balanced life in wilderness with his family and a clan.
